Brian Summers serves North State Bank as vice president and market executive. His prior experience covers nearly a decade with Bank of America in positions such as franchise business development manager and client manager for business banking. He is a native of Raleigh and holds a bachelor of science degree in business management from North Carolina State University. Brian is currently attending the UNC School of Banking.

Phil Whittington serves North State Bank as senior vice president and senior market executive and was integral to North State entry into the Wilmington market. He brings more than 30 years of NC banking experience to the role, which for the most part was spent in the Wilmington, NC market. Phil is a Raleigh, NC, native, and attended North Carolina State University. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Banking and the Wake Forest University Wachovia Corporate Finance Program.

Gary Woodlief serves North State Bank as senior vice president and senior market executive. He played an integral role in laying the foundation for our Wake Forest office. A graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in finance, his banking career of more than 14 years has primarily been in the Wake Country/Triangle area.  Gary is a member of the Economic Development Committee for the Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Board of Directors for the Risk Management Association, the Banks Kerr YMCA and the Raleigh chapter of Robert Morris Associates. He volunteers in the Education First Program at Lockhart Elementary and has served on the board of directors for the Knightdale Chamber and East Wake Alliance.
